My Story

My sewing journey began at a young age with my mom. My mother has been hemming and making clothes for my brothers and I for as long as I can remember. Naturally with all the time she spent on her sewing machine, I wanted to learn too. As my siblings and I started having our own children, she would put together the most beautiful minky blankets for all her grandkids. I decided to learn from her so that I could start gifting my family and friends something unique, personalized, and high quality. The idea to sell them came soon after, and the rest is history.

The name "twinflower" is special to me because it pays homage to my family. My daughter Lynnea was the reason I made my first blanket, and her name actually means "twinflower" in Swedish. Twinflowers symbolize resilience and balance, two things I aim for in life's journey.

Almost every child has that one blanket they drag from place to place that provides comfort and security during the hard times. I strive to create blankets that can be that for them.

My Vision

I aim to create that special blanket that becomes an everyday item for a child. I love crafting designs that are unique and sturdy to withstand all the messes and fun that comes with childhood.

A lot of my time and energy goes into finding high quality minky and making well-stitched blankets. If there is ever an issue, I guarantee the stitching on my blankets. Please send any concerns to twinflowerblankets@gmail.com and we'll resolve any problems.
